Our document generation process works in three simple steps:

Generated documents are securely stored and accessed:

Documents are stored in Google Cloud Storage for 7 days
When you request a download, we generate a secure signed URL that expires after 1 hour
You can access your documents from the Documents page in your dashboard
After 7 days, documents are automatically deleted for security
You can always regenerate documents from your templates if needed

This approach ensures secure access while maintaining document privacy.

Our credit system is straightforward and transparent:

One credit is charged per document generated, regardless of size
For single documents: Credits are deducted when the download link is generated
For batch API requests: Credits are only deducted for successfully generated documents

This ensures you only pay for what you actually use, with no hidden charges.

When you add a template, our system automatically:

Scans the document for variables (using {{variable}} ) and table markers ([[table_name]])
Validates that all required variables are properly formatted (alphanumeric, no special characters except underscores)
Extracts the table structure to ensure data consistency
Creates a customized form interface based on your template's variables
Generates an Excel template with the correct columns for bulk generation

This validation process ensures that:

All required variables are included in your submissions
Table data matches the expected structure
Documents generate correctly every time

Adding your template is a secure, two-step process:

1. Click "Add Google Docs Template" on the Templates page
2. When prompted, authorize our app to access only the specific document you select

Important notes about authorization:

Authorization is a one-time process - you won't need to authorize again for future templates
We use Google's official Picker API for secure document selection
You'll only grant access to the specific document you choose
The authorization process creates a copy of your template in our system
You maintain full control and can remove templates at any time

After adding your template, our system will automatically scan for variables and create your document generation form.

If you've made changes to your original Google Docs template and want to update the version in our platform:

Navigate to the Template Management page
Click the "Sync Template" button
The system will automatically:

Pull the latest version of your template
Re-validate all variables and table structures
Update the generation form if needed

This ensures your generated documents always reflect the most recent version of your template.
